A PTR record (Reverse DNS) links your server's IP address to a domain name. This is crucial if you are running a mail server to prevent emails from going to the Spam folder.

Prerequisite: Forward DNS (A Record)

Before requesting a PTR record, you must create an 'A' record in your domain's DNS manager (e.g., Cloudflare) pointing your desired hostname (e.g., mail.yourdomain.com) to your VPS IP address.

Submitting Your Request

Because PTR records require upstream network adjustments, they must be set by our engineers. Please open a support ticket containing:

  • Server IP Address
  • Target Hostname (e.g., mail.yourdomain.com)

Note: Global DNS propagation for reverse DNS changes can take up to 24 hours.
