It is crucial to understand the difference between snapshots and file backups to ensure your data is safe.

1. Snapshots (Image Level)

A snapshot captures the exact state of your entire virtual hard disk at a single moment in time. Snapshots are great for "I am about to install a major Windows Update and want a quick rollback if it fails." However, snapshots are stored on the same storage cluster. If the cluster fails, the snapshot fails with it.

2. Remote File Backups (The 3-2-1 Rule)

True disaster recovery requires copying your important files and databases to an entirely different geographical location (e.g., a Hetzner Storage Box, Amazon S3, or Backblaze). You should configure tools like AOMEI Backupper (Windows) or Rsync/BorgBackup (Linux) to automate nightly remote backups.

Note: We do not generate manual .ZIP archives of customer data upon request. You must manage your own data exports.
